Kumaun University, Nainital, under the dynamic leadership and initiatives of the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. N. K. Joshi has established a plateform for assisting students aspiring for competitive examinations. Towards this objectives a Competitive Examination Center has been established with the  Hon'ble Vice Chancellor as the chief patron.


The Center aims at envolving all the stakeholders-students, faculty members and allumini in this endeavour. A focused approach centering on students will be adopted to equip them with inputs for taking competitive examinations like Central and State Civil Services, UGC-NET, Defence, Banking and other similar competitive examinations.

 

Students are encouraged to play an active role in this, they will be offered relevent and timely assistance for fullfilling their aspirations. At Competitive Examination Center, it has always been our paramount duty to provide our students with the best in every respect – the best faculty

Objectives

  • To create awareness among the youth of Kumaun University particularly from the deprived sections, about aims and objectives, procedures and relative advantages of various competitive examinations particularly Civil Services Examinations.

  • To plan and conduct coaching and training programmes for successful participation in competitive examination.

  • To muster support for conduct of coaching from eminent administrators, academicians and professional experts from management, training and research institutions. Train students from weaker section of the society for preparation of higher education entrance examinations like UPSC/UKPSC/CAT/CDS etc.

  • Train weaker class professionals for leading or managing groups and acquire better opportunities in their professional career.
